June 5, 2017

Last week, the Staff Ombuds Office released its 2014-2016 Biennial Report that provides the campus community with information regarding its caseload and systemic issues identified during this two year period.

Based on data collected from the 556 individuals who used ombuds services, respect and civility continued to top the list of employee concerns.  In addition, the Staff Ombuds Office identified three systemic issues related to accountability, performance management, and professional development.

The Staff Ombuds Office was pleased to report that satisfaction with its services remained high with 94% of survey respondents stating that they were better able to handle their issue following a discussion with an ombudsperson and 99% stating that they would use the Staff Ombuds Office again or refer others.  To view a copy of the report, click here.
